Philosophy...

I believe the key to achieving and maintaining fitness is to incorporate it into your lifestyle. The first step is to be able to prioritize time realistically based on schedule constraints, current health and fitness levels, as well as other work/family commitments. Consistency and having a sound routine are #1 factors for adherence and seeing progress. After this is established, the body begins to adapts to the new stimulus. As this happens it is important to make periodic program changes to stimulate further progress both physically as well as to fend off boredom. In addition, an exercise routine should be effective but also satisfying. Although it requires focus and at times uncomfortable challenges, it should be doable and after the fact, enjoyable! After all, the benefits of partaking in a regular exercise routine have been proven to decrease reducing body fat, increasing lean body mass, (which stimulate metabolism) help lower blood pressure, and decrease risk of heart disease.

Physical fitness has played a pivotal role in my life. With vision, courage, and determination, I have metamorphosized from an overweight non-active child to an adult competitive athlete! In addition to the physical transition, I gained the confidence and understanding of achieving what I had thought was out of the question. Therefore, I have a passion to educate, motivate, and inspire others to reap the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of leading a healthier lifestyle.
